A lot of thought and care has gone into creating this clothing line that has both beautiful dresses and sustainable/slow fashion practices. These dresses are designed to be gentle on your skin, help you to feel beautiful and comfortable all day, and are handcrafted in small batches by artisans in India who love and take pride in their work.
Each Dress is a Unique Work of Art
Each dress is a true one of a kind piece of art. Handmade in India by skilled artisans who create the pattern, carve the pattern into a wooden block (every color needs its own block), prepare the fabric, then mix the natural dyes, hand print the fabric with the dyed blocks one stamp at a time, hang it to dry, then wash and dry it before they cut and sew the fabric into the dresses that we sell here at Kimberli Marie Designs. It’s an incredibly artistic and intricate process, which is why each dress is a beautiful work of art.
